Hey.  This is Patrick and I don't hang around this forum much, but I am wondering what the best kind of .45 ammo is best to buy a case or two of for storage.  It needs to be reloadable.  Preferably worth a sh*(oo)t.
I just want plain old 230 gr. ball ammo.
Oh yeah, and it needs to be as $cheap$ as possible.  Like.. Cheaper than Dirt cheap!

Thanks guys,
Patrick

I cant recomend any particular brand as 'best for storage because I dont shoot 45., however
here are a few links you might want to check for what you had in mind.  good rule of thumb for storage ammo regardless of what brand - buy the newest stuff you can find.

J&G sales in Prescott got in some USGI M1911 ball, in the sealed U.S. issue cans. No idea as to price, but the can (M-10, I believe) I saw looked pristine.

If you're intending to hoarde it, it's already packed.

I have thousands of rounds stored back for every caliber I have, except .45ACP. I'm getting ready to buy a 1000-round case to save back for my HK USP 45 Tactical, and it will be American Eagle (made by Federal) 230-grain for $230 from www.ammoman.com.
