My wife was in the local WM the other day and I called her to check their sale ammo prices- specifically the Blazer Brass $5 / 50 deal and the WWB $7 / 40 rd box deal.

Well- she doesn't quite get it right.  She gets me 5 boxes of the Blazer at the correct price- but instead of the WWB .223 she gets 3 'on sale' boxes on 20 count Remington 55-gr PSP.

So she gets the wrong .223 ammo.

On top of that- they don't charge her the sale price- $7 / box, they charge her the 'full' price of $13.34 / box.

Now my wife shoots handguns well but she is not an ammo expert- and she has my kids with her- so being a bit distracted she doesn't notice the incorrect charge.  Until she get home and we talk about the total- it was $69.

Additionally- she has lost her receipt for the ammo purchase made back at the sports register.

Regardless, we call back and talk to the store manager.  Sight unseen they are crediting us the appropriate amount so that we pay the correct sale price for the Rem .223.  We gave her the Rem UPC and the manager had to manually go back and look through the purchases made at that register during that time-frame.

I thought that was pretty cool.  Only now I have 60 rounds of Rem PSP I have no need for- oh well- at least it was on sale.

I asked my wife how she could buy the wrong stuff after I explained to her on the cell what to get.  She cracked me up when she said- "Never send a woman to do a man's job".  Pretty funny.

Glad your situation ended good!

I had a positive experience at Walmart yesterday also.

First time I had ever shopped for ammo at one.

Asked for some 9mm, and they pointed to the 100 round WWB packs as I think the Blazer ammo was out of stock.

Gave me what I wanted, no questions asked, then politely asked me if it was for a rifle or a pistol.

First time I've ever had a retailer ask me that question. While it may make no difference to some, I just recently came of legal age to purchase ammo, and buying 9mm for subguns before I was 21 was always a hastle. This impressed me needless to say.

That and I couldn't argue at 6$ per 50 for 9mm.

I find WalMarts are a good gauge of the folks in its service area.

Some have good folks in them some are bad.  But I forgive a lot of anything they do because they do sell ammo at good prices and as much as you want.  They also support hunting and fishing activities.

You know if she sent you to the store for some groceries and you forgot the eggs you'd never hear the end of it!  Do the right thing and remind your wife of her mistake everyday for the rest of her life.

Went in to the local WM to get a couple boxes of WWB .45 100 round value packs. None were on the shelf but the guy said he would check in back "just in case".

I figure no way there is more back there but what the heck.

He comes back 5 mins later with TWO cases of 500 rounds each!
So I bought a case
