So like i said, im shooting these through my FN fiveSeveN pistol, using once fired SS195 brass and RCBS dies, and shellholder from Midway. These loads seem a little light, but as i couldnt find any published data, and i didnt want to risk KB'ing a $850 pistol.

Oh and by the way, all of the bullets i used were also available from Midway. ( i just cant say enough good stuff about those guys)

Now for the good stuff.

1st Load ~
35grain Hornady V-Max bullet
5.0 grains of Unique
Muzzle Velocity = 1810 fps. ± 20fps
----------------------------------------------------------

2nd Load ~
40 grain Combined Technologies Ballistic Silvertip
Same Powder charge of 5.0 grains of Unique
Muzzle Velocity = 1675 fps. ± 12fps
------------------------------------------------------------

Both loads used CCI small Pistol primers.

Also just a little side note,
I pulled apart one round of SS192 that i had gotten when i bought the gun, and one round of the SS195 (Lead Free)
After careful inspection of the powder charges, they were both identical in weight (5.1 grains), I could not confirm what type of powder it was. Its an extremely fine ball powder, smaller grains than ive seen before. Both projectiles weighed the same( 28grains), and visually appeared the same. I marked each projectile, and took them to work, and cut them in half.
To my surprise, the front 0.110" of the bullet was hollow, followed then by a cavity filled with aluminum, the bullet was a HPBT config.
So now im thouroughly confused.
I took both boxes of ammo and my Chrony to the range to find out that both velocities were also the same.
WTF??
I thought SS192 was supposed to be "UBER- DEADLY COP KILLIN AMMO"
Not from what i can see.
(Unless im mistaken, and if i am, then let the Flame-fest begin)
I think the ballistics of a .22 Magnum are honestly about the same, if not better than the 5.7 x28.
I dont regret buying it. I mean come on, i have 6 20rd mags and its really fun to shoot. ( Just like a really loud squirt gun )

Anyway thats My whole shpeel on that, so with that.....
I think its about time to hit the old dusty trail.

Im Out

Yeah, pretty much, but it's still cool. I juts wish someone would make a high-cap .22 mag auto pistol.

WTH is that? (Other than a high-cap .22 magnum auto pistol )

Ugly, but if the novelty/cool factor is high and the price right....

Nevermind, did a little research....Grendel P30. Seems they weren't too reliable, but the idea of a pistol with a 30 round magazine is pretty tempting. I think I'm going to have to try to locate one!

Any pistol that holds 30rds is preety sweet in my book.
