Hey folks,
Been away for awhile. Was looking at this Sinterfire ammo, then found some pretty amusing archived posts about frangible ammo... It really was entertaining, but being from 2007, understandable.
Much of the modern day frangible is for range work, to meet EPA standards in states that are cracking down on lead bullets.
But they have come a long way, and with Sky Marshall's needing ammo that'll drop a perp yet not go thru the plane has caused some huge improvements in the frangible bullet.
I'm not sure if the posters here were aware at that time that ANY projectile that expends most or all of its energy on impact is DESIRABLE in a SD round. And not having it go into the next room and kill an innocent very important. So I would like to get a few boxes for my SD G36 CC sidearm.
Saw some on sale from these folks and was pretty impressed with the videos of their use. They have their own patented process for making the copper/zinc composite that they use in their bullets.
So just wondering if anyone has tried their .45 ACP rounds, and if so, what you thought. Their vid of the standard ball through water bottles vs their rounds said a ton, but I was equally impressed that the 9mm also obliterated a large hard coconut. So these new bullets are far from the "save them for lead-free ranges" attitude from posts back in '07...
