I went out to grab my morning coffee and figured I stop by Walmart and Cabela's to see what they had. Boom!

They just opened up a Cabelas close to me and the gun counter is always nuts and the chances of finding ammo is slim, people are already timing the ammo deliveries and snatching it up before it even hits the shelf. New Cabelas here too... around 60 people there every morning lined up for it to open for a chance at some ammo and more on saturday |

I know 22 has been near impossible to find, and to pick up 2 boxes of 1000 and 100rds 9mm with it I thought I did pretty well. I guess I should have just done what others do and change my clothes in the car of Walmart's parking lot to get as many boxes as possible as they had received about 20 boxes of 9mm 100rds, 8 additional boxes of Winchester 22lr white box 555 packs, and some .45ACP. But then again, my reserves didn't really warrant it and I just wanted to replenish what I've shot of late. I was just trying to show (not rob the OP of his thread) that ammo is becoming more readily available at your local stores to give hope to those that hadn't seen it since the Dark Ages. Glad to see the 100rd pack of Federal 9mm was still priced at $20.99. The M22 1000 box was $48.99 a piece, which I prefer the round nose over the HPs any day. |
