So I got a good deal for 500 rounds of 9mm ammo from Freedom Munitions. Shipping was fast and all the rounds were in trays and 50 rd boxes with clean brass.

BUT, the 10 boxes were shipped in a cardboard case without additional padding. It looks like one corner got crushed during shipping and I ended up with about 14 rounds with bullet setback too far. 10 of those rounds are setback less than 1/16", OAL varies from 1.095" to 1.140". While four of the rounds were setback over 1/8" as short as 1.000". All other rounds (36) in the box was around 1.150" ± 0.005".

So I read that less than 1/16" setback and I can still shoot it at the range like a hotter round. (I think my Glock 17 should handle it) Plus I have read OAL recommendations for 115gr as short as 1.090". While the four that are setback beyond 1/16" can either be discarded in the dud box or pulled apart with a bullet extractor. I'll try to call Freedom Munitions tomorrow to see if they can do anything. It most likely would not have been as bad if the box was placed with the tray facing the corner instead of the brass taking any impact.

Anyway, It could have been worse but shipping always adds some risks.
