Fired 5 rounds of 230gr +P HST from my new Springfield XD(M) with a 3.8" barrel.
903 912 938 921 918 918fps average. All broke 900fps so I'd say that the +P made up for the loss of barrel length. Definitely a spunky load from a smallish handgun; wouldn't want to shoot it all day. However, for self defense it should be more than adequate. |
