Anyone ever have bad experiences with UMC. I just got a 100 round box of UMC hollowpoints from Wal-Mart for about 13 bucks.

No it's just a little on the dirty side. But, then again, I wouldn't expect any kind of reliable expansion for self defense.

A few weeks ago I had my G19 lock up with UMC FMJ ammo.  I asked about this in the Glock forum and the concensus seemed to point towards the ammo.  I've fired thousands of rounds through the gun and have never had that happen before or since.  I rarely use UMC, but that's all that I could get that day.

Wow, that sucks. That is, assuming that you are being serious.

It seems to have pretty hard primers. I've had failures to fire with UMC in .40 with a Sig, and in .45 with a Colt 1991, a Kimber, and a Sig. Wasn't the fault of a crappy handgun in any of those cases. All but two of those FTF bullets went boom on the second strike.

Great practice ammo.  Not loaded hot.  I love it for getting reloadable brass because the mild powder charge does not stretch the brass too much! w00t!

I got the 9mm UMC and dont like them.  It wont feed in my mags, they are very picky though.  Ive had 3 out of about 70 not go off.  Had to recock and fire it again.  Brightside, I think I can use them for hunting since they arnt FMJ.

Huh?  They're should be no problems with 9mm feeding.  Shit, Even wolf 9mm probably feeds well.  What kind of weapon are we talking about here?  I can't imagine any modern 9mm pistol of reputable manufacture having feeding issues.

Plus UMC is not as hard on your rifle as M193 or M855 ammo.
