Who's got one? What are your thoughts, likes, dislikes? Also who has a two tone M&P? How does it hold up to pitting and rust? |

I liked my 9 Pro so much I bought it a twin brother. I did have a couple false trigger resets in when first shooting 9 Pro #1, but I'm pretty sure that was me. 9 Pro #2 has been flawless. If I could change anything about them out of the box, it would be ditching the ramped rear sight for the notched one like on the breast cancer 9.
Oh yeah, I just got my RC phantom holster and mag pouches today! Not really related to the discussion, but I'm pretty jazzed about it. |
| I have the P9mm Pro with the 4.25 inch barrel. I've taken it to the range once. I shot 50 rounds of HST 147 grain and 250 rounds of remington umc 115 grain. Didn't have any malfunctions. The Smith and Wesson performance sear is also an improvement over the stock trigger. |

I use a Pro in IPSC Production and IDPA SSP. Outstanding gun. It was designed to dominate those divisions out of the box, and it does that quite well. That said, if you are already planning to change the trigger and sights, then you can save some money by going with the 9L. Those are the main differences between them. |

How is the Pro trigger compared with the Apex kit? |

But then it doesn't say PRO on the slide. D'oh! I redact my previous statement––the Pro will make you shoot 25% better than a 9L configured the same. How is the Pro trigger compared with the Apex kit? While I don't have a problem with the Pro trigger and don't plan on changing it, the Apex kit is a tad lighter with a tad shorter reset. Haven't tried the full Apex Duty kit. |
| In comparing a friend's 9mm Pro with my .45f with the Apex Duty kit installed, I find the Pro trigger seems very slightly lighter, but the reset on my .45 is much better and shorter. Seems like the heavier return spring may add a little weight to the pull, but it's a trade I'm happy to make. I cannot say what the difference might be with the kit in a 9mm M&P...if any. |
| I've had one since March 09. It's a solid gun, shoots well, good ergos, pretty good trigger. I replaced the rear sight with a 10-8 performance unit and textured the grip for more purchase. If I had to do it all over I would only get the pro as a dedicated gamer gun and stick with the standard full size with apex parts for everything else. Holster and sight availability is more problematic with the pro/l. |

Since I dont do much gaming I may just get the full size....but....then it won't say Pro Series on the side ![]() |

Actually you can get a 4.25" Pro Series. SKU# 178035. I have to agree with the previous poster that recommended a full size with Apex parts and 10-8 rear sight. I have one configured the same and it is one of my favorite pistols. |
