Kinda Naaaa.
The polymer S&W .380 was more or less a disposable gun.  It was designed to last for about 3000 rounds, then be trashed and replaced.
I think the slide was Zamac (zinc), and the magazines had a strange retention system based on a rechargeable battery retention system.  To remove the magazine, you have to pinch the double catch with thumb and finger as you pull the mag out.

Disassembly for maintenance is somewhat difficult, requiring driving a pin out.
Some people reported good reliability, some reported bad reliability, no one reported good accuracy, but to be fair the S&W .380 was not intended to be a target gun, it was intended to be a last ditch backup.
It was very much a "carry a lot, shoot little" gun.

I had one for about a year after they came out.  Never malfunctioned, odd mag release but you could tuck a spare inside the pants and have the button hook unto your trousers.  Sights were the gutter type which I never got used to.  It was a good bugout gun.

They're just slightly better than a sharp stick, IMO.
