Mine shoots high even with the rear sight screwed all the way down. I am using CCI ammo. Does anyone else have this problem or what would cause it. I am only shooting 25'. Would ammo change make a difference? Also from seted sanbag position.

I'd wonder if the sight/optics rail on the barrel assembly was right.

Although I've had a red dot on mine for the past 10 years, so I can't say I've played with the iron sights much.

Im about ready to do the red dot myself. I will check the rail.

Thanks

Ammo could make a slight difference but a quality adjustable sighted 22 pistol should have enough range to compensate for different types of ammo.

Something is probably wrong with the gun, I'd sent it back to S&W for repair.

Mine is the same - it just about gets zero'd right at 25yds with the rear sight all the way down. My guess would be a manufacturing or design defect. I can live with mine the way it is, but you might want to call S&W. Please post the resolution here so I can decide if I want to do anything about it.

Ever since S&W sent me a new slide, I am having the same problem. There is a little stud iunder the sight that I had to file down to bring ithe POI closer to the POA but at 25 m there is still a difference of 4 inches.
