I posted some pics in another area and thought I'd share for the heck of it.

Top to bottom:

Model 65-2 - VG condition CDNN police trade-in bought earlier this year - $325

1954 vintage K-22 Combat Masterpiece (came with #'ed gold box and grips) - Bought within the last couple of months for $500 delivered.

1968 S-prefixed Model 57 - bought in 01 (approximately) for $425

Thanks for looking and comments are always appreciated,
Scott

You are correct.  In the picture you can see the wear on the end of the barrel and there's also a little just forward of the trigger guard from holster wear.  I was baffled someone would sell such a nice revolver but the guy had bigger fish to chase.  It's kind of funny, what I would consider an heirloom piece is another guy's fodder and so on and so on.

Here's another closer pic of the K-22:

The 57 was my first and I stumbled upon it.  It's actually nicer than it looks in the first pic.  There's a combo of flash and schmutz that I failed to wipe off prior to taking the pic.  Here's a better one in daylight:

Thanks for the looks and comments guys,
Scott

Hate the game, not the playa!!  I'm sure you've got quite a posse of Smiths to keep you occupied so just remember, it's not always greener on the other side.

There was a 68ish vintage 58 that would have been a perfect companion for the 57 on gunbroker a month or two back.  It was just pristine with the correct grips and I'd have sold body parts for it, if it were legal.

The asking price was 9 bills and I think the highest anyone bid was $750 and the reserve didn't get met.

Thanks for the reply,
Scott

You aren't the only one!

I gotta find a 4" 17 or an 18.
