I had an M&P 45 compact that caught my eye at the gunstore the other day. It felt about the right size and had an ambi-safety. I've been carrying my 1911 and like the safety feature but I'm curious if anyone has any problems with it clicking on if your not riding it? I shoot with my right thumb under the safety in my 45's and in the thumb groove on my glocks. I put my thumb under the safety when gripping the gun and the safety was almost riding on my thumb, I'm interested in the gun but curious if I'll have problems accidently engaging the safety when shooting, has anyone else experienced this?

The M&P 45 is available in three sizes.
Full Size - Full size frame, 4.5 inch barrel Mid Size - Full Size frame, 4 inch barrel Compact - Compact frame, 4 inch barrel There are a multitude of variations, with and without thumb safety, lock or no lock, etc. But all are on these three basic sizes. |
