While I love me some M&P in all flavors, and heck, all S&W in general, I'm really fond of the first gen M&P and wish I had bought more way back in the day. One of my carry guns is a late production gen1, and the barrel is fine, it's accurate as I can be, and personally I love the stock trigger (but I've never been one to chase triggers with changes etc and have no desire to mess with this one). Anyway, here she is. Again, I sure wish I had bought more of em toward the end of their run. Personally I much prefer the "in the hand" feel of the gen1 over any of the subsequent flavors, if I had to pick.

I assembled this from a stripped full sized frame I got on the big auction site. I’m a huge fan of ‘mid-size’ so I used a 4” slide from S&W. No intention of adding an optic so I ditched the tall white dot sites and added a set of Ameriglo Protector’s. Black serrated rear and green tritium front. Hopefully have the maiden voyage in a few weeks.   With my PDP Compact. Love that pistol. (It just got a set of green XS R3D 2.0 night sights about an hour after this was taken).

| That Smith looks perfect. 4" slide is as short as I like to go. That PDP is ugly in comparison (still a good pistol). Two tone is sweet. |

New to the M&P world. Shot one recently and was very impressed with the ergonomics and how I performed with it. So I picked up a compact to try out. Just ran 300 rounds through it and so far I'm happy with my purchase. Now to get some more mags and a holster.  |
Swapped the optic for a RM06 using a DPP Ti plate. And took the light off.  Carrying it in a MIE holster. Never heard of them but a local shop had it in stock and I'm very impressed with the quality and retention.  My 4.25" full size should be at my local shop early next week. My plan is to put a RMR HD and my TLR7 HLX on that one. |

I had an M&P9 1.0. It was stolen about a decade ago. Yesterday, I got it back. Attached File It was my IDPA ESP gun. Apex D/CAEK, Speed Shooters Specialties magwell, base plates, extended magazine release and tungsten guide rod, Trijicon HD night sights, Storm Lake stainless match barrel and my mediocre stippling job. It's in surprisingly good shape, as it was recovered about 1-2 months after it was stolen and spent the remaining decade in an evidence locker. The magwell is gone and so is the grip retainer/takedown tool. It's a shame, since SSS is out of business now. It looks like Storm Lake is also defunct. A neat blast from the past. I'm taking it completely down, cleaning it out (it was last lubricated with Frog Lube) and maybe sending it off to get machined for an RMR. Put a spare TLR7 on it. Attached File |

M&P 45 trade in for $325 I picked up today. Gun is brand new and never fired with night sights and all factory accessories. Very rare I get such a good deal, and at the same time that departments’ mags and Gold Dot ammo are being sold off by someone else for crazy low prices. Followed by my M&P 2.0C. Had it for close to a decade. No idea on round count but it’s a lot. Never had a hiccup. Attached File Attached File |

My new carry pair replacing a G26 and G19. 4” with DCAEK, DPP brand plate and RM06, and a 3.6” subcompact I put together from a OR slide on a 12 round subcompact frame updated with a S&W flat trigger and DCAEK, DPP plate and RM07. Both have Trijicon no contrast ring front and plain black rear sights, I despise white three dots especially on a RDO equipped gun. Attached File |

Got my $110 Leupold DPP Micro mounted. Its function during use is better than the internet says. Its quirks don’t get hated enough. I would never have paid $400 for one in any circumstance. At $110 I might buy more. Attached File |

Attached File Bought a 5" slide kit with an optics cut so I could finally try an optic. Also started buying some 23rd mags because why not  . Haven't decided if I'm going to make this my nightstand gun or just keep the iron sighted 1.0 that's going to become my carry gun for that role also. |
