Lucky you...They weren't really all that helpful when I called this afternoon.  "They wont sell that to you, its LEO..."

I got the part number as 39256 but their sales dept. was busy.  Let me know if anyone else has any better luck!  Oh, and he said there was no thread protector either for it...whatever.

LC2ner:  When I called S&W tech support and asked for the part number I acted like I already had a threaded barrel by saying "I need a replacment barrel, what is the part number for the Spec Ops threaded barrel"?  Nothing untrue about that statement.  They DO NOT come with thread protectors.  I purchased a SIG protector off the internet for $15

Its a MultiMount and sounds great, little bit more volume than the Tundra(quiet as hell dry but never shot it wet yet) and I have a 3 lug for Mini Uzi so its a dual purpose can.

so, the multi is quiter than the tundra? is that what you are geting at?  cause the multi is about $150 cheaper, and i think a local dealer has one in stock.

Yes, it should be quieter because it has more volume to knock the sound down(I don't have any hard facts but from an user standpoint bigger is usually quieter). I don't think its very much but I also have an Evo9 and I think(just opinion) thats its(MultiMount)is a tab bit more quiet. I believe if you go to John Tibbits website he tested both and the results should be there. I hope this helped

The Spec-Ops is a sweet looking pistol

One of those with an OD frame in .40S&W would be at the top of my must have list.

My wife's gun.  I don't have an M&P of my own but at least the grips can be switched out in less than a minute.

This is my M&P .40. I've put over 1500+ rounds through it so far and have not had ANY failures of any kind. Federal AE, 180 grain, it just eats em up. It's also more accurate than i am.

^^^ Now, that is sweet.  Can you tell us about it?  Like, what changes you did?  Is that a factory slide finish or did you have it done?  That's the setup I really want.  My Trident 9 should be here in a couple more months

Thanks for sharing.

M&P 9mm had the slide & outer parts blasted. Barrel is a Storm Lake 1/2x28". All 3 back grips & front strap stippled. Trijicon night sites. It's for sale also

I just purchased my third M&P. It's a 9mm and it is currently at my gunsmith getting a carry trigger job and some stippling done on the front and back straps. I haven't even shot it yet, just dry fired it and sent it off to accurate-iron for some work. I say my third because I had and sold an M&P .40 and M&P 9c that I had about 3-4 years ago. I sold them because I wanted a couple of HK's and didn't have the money. Now I don't have the HK's anymore and am back to the M&P...

Consider this my place holder for when I get mine back at the end of this week.

Nothing fancy, just a plain ol' M&P9 with a TLR-1 light on it.  I did buy one with the mag disconnect, and then removed it as soon as I got home.  This way, I don't have the warning on the side of the slide.

My new M&P 9 Full size with CT laser grip and TLR-1, I also have 10-8 Night sights coming for it.

I just got a few things from NTAC.  I wanted a convertible IWB/OWB holster for my S&W M&P full size and a dual mag holder. It will primarily be IWB but if I want to swap it I have the option. I had John, owner of NTAC, also make some small offset tabs to give more comfort for IWB. That little bit of distance they move the clips from the holster help it curve around you, more subtle bend to the belt too. They were just a quick suggestion so they may get modified later, so far they work great.

Mini review after having them since Thursday night (29th);
-M&P/TLR-1 Holster
The retention is on the light, with light detached it is loose in the holster.
Drawing and reholstering is similar to other kydex/molded holsters I have, it clicks lightly into place when fully seated.
The IWB offset distance is just right for me.
The holster does not shift at all on the belt. You can either thread the belt through the loops or pull them open and then down over the belt. Same for removing, pull clips up over the belt to take it off. It is not as quick as a paddle holster, takes maybe 10 seconds longer on/off.
-M&P Dual Mag Holder
They don't click in but there is light tension from about 1 inch in till fully down.
Drawing is smooth, no drag. Rounds point forward.
The high side is toward you to protect from pinching shirt matl when reinserting.

Good looking, comfortable gear made quickly and to exact custom detail.
This is the first custom kydex i have tried so I cannot say it is the best but so far i am positive and pleased with it.
