Hello all, I got one of these from Summit Gun broker and it is in excellent condition. Very minimal wear on any of the parts. Overall, I'm very happy. ONe dissapointing thing though is that my Streamlight TLR-2 won't fit on its rail due to the rail being too short. Also, the rail itself is loose and kind of rattles around. This can't be good for accuracy if a laser sight were to be used. The rail is riveted onto the frame so I don't see a way to tighten it. I may call S&W to see what they suggest about tightening up the rail. Does anybody know which light/laser will fit on this gun? Thanks. JOhn |

I have a 5906TSW, and the rail became slightly loose. I field stripped the weapon, rested the rail on the bench, and gave each rivet a couple light taps with a brass bunch and hammer, from the inside of the dust cover. It snugged the rail right up. Took about 5 minutes total. I've heard of a couple people sending their TSW's back to S&W to get the rail tightened up, and I've heard of a couple people just removing it (drilling out the rivets). I'm happy with my results, and will just do that again if it ever needs it. Can't help with which light fits, as I've never tried to mount a light on mine. |
