I always used Buffers for my Colt Combat Elite 1911 and they Work
Has anyone used the buffers for S&W Pistols!
I thought of buying a few for my 6906 since I do shoot some of the time 127+P+
But are they needed for S&W

I don't use them on any gun. Smiths are very good quality and should not need any additional help than the recoil spring. IMHO...

A fresh recoil spring with an extra lb or two for the +P+ use should do you just fine, IMO.
The only gun I use a buffer in is my 1911, FWIW.
