I got a shield PC because I liked the lightened slide, porting, and slightly better trigger than the standard. Then I picked up a standard shield a few weeks later in a trade deal. I've been getting my mother in law interested in shooting and carrying, and she ended up really liking the shield since she has smaller hands. The problem is I offered her whichever she wanted, and she chose the regular. But she prefers the fiber optic sights on the performance model.
So what's the easiest way to do this... I don't want the standard sights on my PC. should I get night sights and transfer my existing sights to the new one? Or do I get FO again? Or do I switch slides and have the regular milled out to tolerate the porting? I didn't want to go crazy spending money to upgrade my carry gun, but starting to think it may be the easiest way to get this stuff done. Conversely, is there a place selling new shields with FO sights and no porting already? I could just buy one at these prices and give her that one... |
