Lots of better aftermarket sights for the Shield, so do you want an OEM sight because this not a warrantable issue?  Even if not warrantable I'm sure S&W will still sell you one directly or through LGS.

the front sight got damaged and i just want a cheap replacement i thought it would be something i can get from midway but i cant find one any where. is the m&p sight the same as the sheild?

Call smith and wesson, they will probably send you a replacement free of charge.

I've had to do it twice with my Thompson Center because the fiber optic breaks, the first time they replaced the plastic piece. The second time they sent me a complete front sight. I will say their customer service has been great to me.
