| Somehow the little spring that holds in the slide lock in the frame worked its way off or something, When the slide is off, the lock can be removed easily, however when it is on, I have tried and it does not come out, (as it shouldn't really) does anyone think this would be an issue to go ahead and run it like this as the lock cant be removed with the slide on? Its no big deal if I have to pull the trigger assembly and front locking block, it's just a bit of a pain to get it all lined back up. |

Do you mean the takedown lever? IIRC it can be removed with the slide off when rotated to point upwards (I would have to try it on one of mine to be sure) so I think what you have seen is normal. Others could confirm. As long as it is secure when fully assembled, I would not worry.
In any case, it is easy enough to pull the locking block and inspect/reposition the little spring. |
| Yeah, with the exception that I have a Flat faced in there, and I would have to get all of that lined up again. there is no spring retention when the slide is off, it comes out with no resistance. It doesn't come off with the slide on, so I may just go ahead and run it to see. |
