I just picked up a 6906 in great codition for $325. I haven't shot it yet but I'm thinking about using it for my ccw. Whats your thoughts on this gun?

One of the best gen 3 Smiths out there. Nice and compact, great ergos and accurate. A superb CCW pistol.

Nice snag, I have not seen a nice one around here for a long time.

That's a great price too.

Nice grab. IMHO, all gen-3 Smiths are worth grabbing at a fair price, and what defines 'fair' keeps going up.

I snagged a 5946 a few years ago for about the same, and later that year a 4053 (single stack!) for $400. That .40 is a hell of a nice gun; no intentions of ever parting with it.

Incredible price if you ask me.  Great score!  I picked up a very nice one off GB about 2 years ago and I paid $485 by the time it go to my door after shipping and transfer.  And that was with one mag.  I saw one locally about 5 years ago for $325.  I'm guessing that would probably be over $400 today.  The 6906 is one of only a couple of SW autos that I ever really wanted.  I have no idea why it took myself 20 years to finally buy one.

Great gun and you did well on the price.  I usually see used ones around here for $350 and up.

The 6906 has a great combination of features that make it a great value.  They are small enough, and light enough to CCW easily.  They are large enough to shoot easily.  They can be used as a service pistol on a belt, especially with the 15rd 5906 mags and spacers.  They share most of the internal parts with the other third-gen S&Ws so getting parts and keeping it running isn't difficult.  They are actually relatively easy to work on if you need to do it yourself.  They are VERY reliable.  You can still get them at decent prices, and you get alot for your money.
