I have a used Model 60. The dash number is strange. It looks like a lower case "b" and with larger stamping than the 60- part. Or maybe a 60 -1 with a o overlaping the 1? and upside down 9?
Here is what i know about the revolver. They guy i bought it from said he bought it used prior to 1993. its stainless & .38Spec. There is no visable pin through the frame holding the brl. the cylinder crane(?) is marked 93926. the underside of the Brl has an S stamped on it. the cylinder has a V stamp on it. Grip frame is round butt. The serial number starts with ANA. Grips are checkered with SW medallions. front sight is stainless, thin & serrated. Based on that serial number prefix and pre 1993 manufacture can anyone tell me what the dash number should be? it looks like it might be a incomplete 6 but that would be a ladysmith, right? there are no ladysmith marking on it. any help would be appreciated. ETA; also need correct yoke screw part number (brownells/midway) for this revolver. |

ANA serial is circa 1986. It's probably a 60-1, but the models were transitioning in that time frame. Is this 60-1 description incorrect? 60-1 (1972) 3 in square butt limited production
Mine is a 2" round butt. wouldnt that rule out 60-1? No. 60-1 could come both round and square butt and two or three inch barrels. |
