I am looking for a new weapon to carry off-duty.  I plan to carry it both IWB and OWB configurations in a Raven Concealment Phantom kydex holster.  I about 5'10 and 180lbs.  I want to get the M&P .40 and put a TLR-1S weapon light on it.  I am worried about the size and weight for an everyday carry gun.  I considered the M&P .40C but the only option then is a TLR-3 and I really do not like that light.  I am in law enforcement so I really want to have a weapon light when off-duty.  Any suggestion or advice, this will be my first M&P.  Thanks!

I carry my M&P9FS with x300 in a RCS Phantom Light holster on me daily now that it is summer time and I don't think that it is too heavy to carry and it conceals nicely.  I mainly wear polo or button up short sleeve shirts. I am 6'2", 220lbs.

My daily carry is a full size M&P 9 using a Comp-Tac CTAC. I routinely carry it in jeans and an untucked polo shirt, but I've even carried it in shorts and a t-shirt.

You have to pay a bit more of attention with the full size compared to the Compact when bending at the waist, and you notice it a bit more when sitting. Otherwise, I have not problem carrying the full size M&P concealed.
