Gun is 25+ yrs old and I am the 2nd owner.Frame cracked right behind the takedown pin.Piece fell off,right side also show hairline crack.
Called S+W,they said to send it in.They called and said it cannot be fixed,no parts available anymore...Then rep asked what gun I want to
replace it?? I say for how much,he says nothning!!! Being I'm now out a 9mm and have a M+P in 45 that I love I asked for a full size 9mm.
He said no problem!!.On back order but should be here in October.I'm very pleased with their Cust Service.Can't believe they are giving
me a free gun.They are the best in my book

That is a great bit of customer service.  I would say they went above and beyond to say the least.

Their customer service is among the best in the business.  A few years back I dropeed my model 52 (38 special wadcutter auto) on it's rear sights.  I looked everywhere for a replacement or aftermarket with no luck.  Since the 52 was a discontinued model I called them up and prepared myself for some really bad news.  They put me through to their repair section and the guy just asked me what my address was.  I asked him how much it would cost and the guy said it was FREE.  He even told me how to change it myself.  You can't get much better than that.
