What's covering your take-down lever?  And why?

(Never seen or heard of such)

I have short stubby fingers and can't reach with my thumb past the takedown lever where many others grip their pistols. So to add grip I made a extension as my left thumb rides on the takedown lever area. The Apex DCEAK along with the Pretravel Mod help with this as well. For me these mods have made a huge improvement in recoil management, weapon control, and trigger reset.

I like everything but the massively excessive stippling.  Do you rub crisco on your hands in the mornings?  A little stippling is ok, but that gun is just as dangerous being thrown as shot.  To me that gun says "I used a dremel to flute my barrel".

I mean I stippled my M&P, but only on the necessary grip areas.  Why?  Because my hands sweat 24/7.  I don't however need stippling where I don't hold the gun.

I did the full stipple just to be different as alot of the stipple jobs look the same but not many are fully covered. So it's just to be different and I don't think it looks awfull just not what your used to seeing.

I don't really care for the stippling either.  Kind of looks like a puppy got hold of it and chewed it up.  The other mods are nice though.

Looks alright.  I think you should've practiced your stippling a bit more before you made the leap though.

That is probably the worst stippling job ive ever seen but i commend your ingenuity in other area's.

The baseplates are quite nice.

The tapered front sight is also quite cool.

The thumb rest, while disgustingly ugly is a very smart idea for people that cannot reach the indexing point on the frame.  The takedown lever gets hot as balls during extended firing sessions and that little tab should prevent you from discomfort or getting burned.

Cool man.

wow lot of work on that pistol. not a fan of the full frame stippling tho. and i never liked that "dot" style of stippling anyway....looks like you shoot your frame with birdshot. i prefer the random design like i put on my guns

Your gun has chickenpox, outside of that the parts list is nice, though I would go with bowie tactical night sights.

How about another picture showing your thumb moving the take-down lever?

Hard to take a pic and shwoing hands at the same time. I push the takedown lever with my right thumb while gripping the gun with my left.

Well as I like the stippling the census seeming to think different. So.......can a new frame be purchased? I know we can order replacement parts but what about a new frame?

Doubtful.  Call and ask though - the worst they can do is say no.  I would lightly sand the frame and restipple using finer dots or a slightly different design.  It is far from unsalvageable.

Is it me, or is the trigger kind of far back in the trigger guard?

If you like it then there's no need to replace it. But yeah, it's... different.

That's a product of the APEX Sear & overtravel mod (.060" spacer in front of the trigger and can be seen in the trigger guard pic). The internal safety clearance was researched prior to the spacer being installed using this thread M&P Striker Block Internal Safety and a flashlight through the back of the slide to check trigger bar/striker block engagement during trigger movement.
