Did a search and found nothing..  hope it's not a dupe
I've shot quite a few glocks and XDs...  but i'm leaning towards picking up an M&P 9mm this weekend.
I haven't shot one , but i was wondering how the trigger pull compares to the above mentioned pistols.??

Trigger is ok but it can vary depending on gun. Apex makes a trigger upgrade kit that is worth every penny.  don't get the comp set though I installed it and found it to be too light (Less than 3 lbs if I had to guess)

My M&P had a decent trigger that felt far more metallic than say a spongy and plastic like Glock or XD.  I was told by another shooter who owned M&Ps that my factory trigger was a tad bit better than one of his (regarding felt reset).  Overall with good trigger control it wasn't bad but could use some improvement like most handguns.

Installed the APEX duty kit and it improved it by leaps and bounds.  I cannot recommend that kit enough because it is simple to install yourself and is a huge improvement over the factory trigger.

As pointed out above, the trigger is hit and miss with feel and the reset is hard to feel and requires a bit more travel than I like. The Apex sear fixes all that with a drop-in part, thought the point about the comp kit is accurate. It makes the trigger frighteningly light, but it is very nice.

The comp kit is great for accuracy.  But after the 2nd berm shot I decided to swap the spring back out.  Just too freaking light

I think the XD has a better feeling out of the box trigger, but the M&P can be made very nice.  I just installed the sear only and it was a dramatic difference.  I didn't feel the need to get the entire kit for the M&P.  David

Defintley get the apex sear and the usb you wont be able to get a glock or  a xd to compare to it without alot of money.  It is crisp and breaks nice with a little overtravel and short reset. The only downfall is the pretravel is slightly extended.  If you are located in central texas you can shoot mine and I can help you with the installation its alot simpler than it looks.  Just send me a email or pm if you have any questions

I had one come in at 2.5 lbs after I put the whole kit in.

Thanks for giving me the heads up on the Apex Duty Kits a while back. I installed a couple kits and like you said, "The sear makes the gun."

I'm just glad it worked out for you. I'm looking at a 9c to replace my EDC G27 now.
