Not sure about the one in the movie, but if you want the absolute best comp for your M92, go to the Beretta forum and check ot the SGS Comps.....best money can buy!!!

I wouldn't go that far. There are tradeoff's using it. Frame wear, cleaning & maintenance being 3 of them. If you want to keep your gun looking new they are not for you.  I sold mine.

I saw a real one on gun broker last year, & it sold for like $600. It had an extended guide rod & threaded onto an threaded barrel.

Unless one is shooting +P ammo, a comp isn't worth the time/money. Standard 9mm ammo isn't really hot enough to take advantage of a comp. I would suggest using the same $$$ to get some better-than-OEM grips to lessen the muzzle flip.

Parden my ignorance, but how do grips at the rear of the pistol affect muzze flip at the front?

Also, the SGS style compensators look better IMHO than the one in the Predator movie:

Something with finger grooves and a non-slip surface, like the Hogue grips will keep the pistol from rotating in your hand as much during recoil...

Ahh, I see. I'm not a fan of finger grooves because I don't have fat fingers so the groves spread them apart.

TrackSol-

Beautiful pistol!.  I have the same SGS comp on my black 92.  One question: WHERE DID YOU GET THAT PISTOL STAND???.....I need one of those asap!!

It simply allows one to have a much better/tighter grip on the gun when one has sweaty hands. A better grip allows one to control the recoil impulse better throughout its cycling process.

The Beretta OEM grips are, shall we say, less than ideal. I use mil-tec (sp?) grips on virtually all of my 92's & they're simply fabulous.

SixKiller - I'll have to admit that I stole the picture from another forum. It is a beautiful pistol though.

BobCole - I understand now. I haven't shot my 92FS or and M9 often enough to know. On my pistol I have Ergo grips on it. They're have a lot more grip than the factory ones. I score them in Foliage Green before they went to black only.
