I always wanted to get a Beretta 92G Elite 2, not very impressed with the original Elite however. The Elite 2 had a beefed up locking piece, recessed crowned shorter barrel, front cocking serrations, it's G model where it is a decocker only safety, skeletonized hammer, checkered front and backstraps, no lanyard loop, heavier brigadier slide, novak sights, and it's two tone and looks cool |

Opinions.... I have the very first generation 92 Elite. It works. I prefer the barrel and slide profile of the Elite I to the standard 92 FS. My only regret about the Elite I own is that I didn't send it to Ernie Langdon when I had the chance. I haven't played much with the later Elite models, but they seem nice too. |

I'm very glad he did. It's the best handgun I own closely followed by another 92FS he did. I'm regretting selling the 2nd one. It was my very first handgun and I should have kept it. Dan |

I have an 92 Elite.
I love it, it is my every day shooter and has been for almost 10 years. I've been wanting to bring it up to Elite II specs (as much as I can anyway) but have yet to do it. Just what all did the Ernest Langdon modifications consist of (I obviously missed that boat too). |

| I've been thinking about picking the Elite 2 up myself just for a stock Target gun.. Just standard local range, the shortest amount of yards you can shoot is 25 yards then there is the 50 yards and I think the Elite 2 would work pretty good for slow fire at 50 yards.. I do all my fast fire at 25 yards with my Glock 17. |

Quoted: Aw NUTS! Now I am infected and I have to get one. Anyone know how difficult it is to find a 92G Elite II or the vertec Elite IA on the used market? Will have to pay a premium above NIB? Thanks! It's hard since they've been discontinued for years. http://www.berettaforum.net/vb/ |

Keep your eye on gunbroker. I saw a rare Elite II get sold about a month ago for 500 bucks new. It was an all black model.
96's are easy to find, since no one seems to want the ghetto special anymore. I just installed black hexhead grip screws on mine. Installed a brand new chrome silicon main spring, replaced all my magazines springs, and bought six 20 round MecGar Magazines. |

Love this holster. Alessi ACP/s. Black Bull shark skin. Made around 2003.
Carried extensively. It's a real shame that Lou has passed away.

IPSC is a little high speed for us older, crippled old farts..... Ahem. Life is a "little high speed" too, sir.
FWIW, I'm 50 & I shoot IPSC without any issues. Keeps me prepped for SHTF, IMO. Ahem, Thats an arrogant way to start a line...... But am glad at 50 you can still run with the kids, I can't. Consider yourself blessed as I had a tumor removed from my right leg some years back and the result was limited range of motion. Sucks...At the age of 45 and a weight of 175 bs I consider myself physically fit except for the leg... kinda gets in the way of the required speed IPSC takes.. Finally got to range with my Elite II. Wow !!! As smooth and accurate as anything I have ever shot.. Amazing. |
