Just thought I would post this.

Local dealer got a batch of nice used 92s in and since I was 9mm bereft I started looking at them.

Never owned one.  Ended up taking the plunge with the remainder of my b'day money and actually got the "hand select" one that he had stashed for himself.

I ran 125 rds of white box 115 FMJ through it monday afternoon with nary a hiccup.

My wife liked it so much that I went back and bought the last one he had for her.

I really like the overall feel and handling of these pistols so far.

They point as well as any 9mm I have held.

Switch to a DAO mainspring. Your DA trigger pull will improve about 150%, IMO.......

The Beretta factory does a nice aftermarket trigger job on 92s for $80.  Major improvement, at least on mine.  The gun was returned with a "data sheet" which listed the before and after pulls--single and double action.  I recall that both were reduced by about 1/3 from factory new.  Didn't ask for the pull reduction, that was just a side effect of cleaning up the pull.  Details at www.berettausa.com.

dedfella, hell yeah, 92Fs are great. They fit lots of different sized hands, point well, are usually quite accurate (mine sure is), and they always go "bang" when you pull the trigger. Even when your drunk buddy dumps his screwdriver all over/in it and doesn't bother to tell you about it and lets you find out the next day when he asks you to do away with the sick starved horny stray that keeps trying to get to his wife's chiuahua in heat...   BTW, My wife shoots lights out with mine too, but keeps telling me, "Get me a little gun."  Women, go figure.

My first gun as well, seems very sturdy and reliable and almost fool proof.
