What can you say from personal experience or have heard from others about the Mec-Gar, Asian military, or Eagle pre-ban magazines?  Reliability, capacity, malfunctions?

Also if you have bought magazines from the CDNN investments inc., what was your experience with them?

I have bought mags from CDNN many times and they are top notch in my book! Very fast service and good products. I have 10 of the Asain Military mags and they are pretty good mags for being aftermarket mags. I have never had a FTF with one but the metal bodies are way thinner then factory Beretta mags. Also the paint used on the followers and baseplate leave alot to desire.
Mec-Gar are the best after market mags made period! I would even say they are on par with factory Beretta mags in terms of quality. Alot of people will tell you that its either fatory mags or nothing but I feel good enough about my Mec-Gar mags that I use them for my house pistol. I have the 17 round Mec-Gar Beretta 92FS mags and I have never had a FTF and they always hold the slide back after the last round is fired.

I have a couple of the Asian Military mags. I haven't tested them extensively yet, but they seem to work very well so far. The bodies are thinner, but this doesn't make any difference that I can tell. The finish isn't as good either, but they spend most of their time inside the gun anyways. I have heard some people say that the top round on a fully-loaded one will sometimes pop out of the feed lips, but it doesn't happen on mine.

Well we'll all have to wait and see until Sept 2004 (the ban is going to be lifted more than likely).  But I am guessing that they are first going to try to sell the remaining lot to the police or military before they start to seel them to the public.
