Does the Elite IA have checkered straps like the Elite II or are they the same as standard Beretta straps. Also I've been compiling a list of what the IA has over the standard Vertec and this is what I have so far. Please add to this list if I've missed anything. -Brigadier Slide -G model decocker (Apparently the standard Vertec can be had as a G model) -Beveled Mag Well (I've been told the standard Vertec also has this) -Skeletonized Hammer -Front Slide Serrations -Extended Mag Release (According to another board comment the E1A doesn't come with this) -Improved Front Sight (Also apparently it has the standard Vertec sights) ETA: What advantage(s) does the Brigadier slide provide over the standard slide? |
Yes. The Elite and Elite II are standard 92 frames with Brig. slides. The IA is a Vertec or 'straight' frame, much more like a 1911 with a flat mainspring housing. |

I just purchased one this week. The only differences from the standard Vertec are: G decocker(available for standard Vertecs but hard to find), skeletonized hammer, front slide serrations and bumper pads on the magazines. Oh, and the 'cool factor' Elite IA markings on the slide. I got the Elite since it was only $75 more than the standard Vertec and I like the look of the skeletonized hammer. |
Plus it has the heavier Brigadier slide. Let me know how it shoots. |
