Beretta Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier or M9A3??
So say I can save my money and get one.  Which one?  The M9A3 would be the G model.

Beretta Wilson Combat, awesome gun. I think you will find being on a Beretta forum you should buy both like most of us are doing. Wilson first just my opinion .

Having had both, I'd look into the M9A3 if you want better bang for the buck.

My Wilson Combat was very nice, but not $1200 nice. My A3 has a better trigger than my Brigadier Tactical, FWIW, and I got my A3 for less than  $1000.

I've also had both and have to say the A3 is perhaps the better buy. Convertible grip, convertible FS to G, checkered grip front and rear, D-spring, oversized steel mag release, steel trigger and safety/decocker controls. My A3 was $270 less out the door with better mags also. My Brig Tac was a fine gun, but I sold it and picked up a Brigadier Inox, added grips, EII hammer, D-spring, mag release and pocketed almost four hundred bucks. YMMV. I'm happy with these two currently:

What are your thoughts on the 92A1?  How does it compare to the M9A3?

The A1 is a fine gun. On the plus side is the rail, 3 17-round mags and the internal buffer. The downside is you lose interchangeability between slides, frames and recoil spring assemblies with the standard 92 series. I've always preferred the M9A1 for a railed gun because it maintained the ability to swap slides and frames with the other 92 series, yet also had a rail and a nice checkered front/backstrap frame. Really no wrong answers however you go if you like the Beretta 92 family, but the A3 is the latest and greatest version with lots of upgrades over the other guns.
