I finally got a D spring in my 92A1 and, wow, what a difference a few pounds makes.  I was really impressed how well the gun felt shooting double action, I'll never own another without that upgrade.

Taking it out to test drive it after the spring replacement reminded me just how accurate and smooth shooting these guns are.  I'm in love with my Beretta all over again .

As nice as the D is the WC chrome silicon 16 is even smoother with less stacking.

Hmm. I'm really tempted to try one of these. I do kind of wonder how much of a difference I'll see personally, but I have to believe it's at least a noticeable difference, otherwise I highly doubt so many people would install them.

I can feel the difference in the DA mode between my Beretta 92G and Taurus PT 92 AF, with the PT 92 AF having the noticeably lighter, or at the very least smoother, DA trigger. I wonder how similar the DA pull after D spring installation on a Beretta is to the stock DA trigger on a Taurus?

The D spring is rated at 16 lbs. The factory hammer spring in the FS/G guns is 20lbs. The D spring is so called because it is a Beretta factory that was spec'd for the DAO 92D/96D models. It was designed to work with the lighter bobbed D hammer. It makes a huge difference. Many people find adding an Elite II hammer (avoid the original Elite hammers - too light), steel trigger and D spring to be near magic after shooting a standard 92.

First mod I make to all my 92 series guns is a D-spring. Then I usually add the Elite II hammer and oversized mag release. Then grips.
