I am looking at the 92FS INOX.  Any pros or cons about this 92.  I kind of like the idea of stainless and it sure is pretty.  All thoughts appreciated.

For the most part, a 92 is a 92, IMO. The extra $$$ for a SS 92 doesn't appeal to me, personally, but YMMV.

pro: a bit different looking since it's SS and normally people think of a blued look with the 92FS/M9
con: more expensive

I had one and didnt like it. Stainless steel weapons dont really appeal to me, so I went and traded it for a blued one.

I love mine.  I don't like hoster wear showing, and the Inox set up, made that a mute point.   I used mine as my primary CCW gun and loved it.

oh, and as for costing more........I paid $468 plus shipping for BNIB from a dealer on GunsAmerica.com about 2 yrs ago.  I had many phone conversations with him, cause I thought this had to be too good to be true.  It wasn't

In less than "outdoor" lighting, the sights just plain SUCK!!!

Red dots on black sight blades =  little to NO contrast

It just takes a little bright white enamel paint, a steady hand, and a fine brush.....no more red.

Or a toothpick...  The silver/gray integral front sight is too hard to see under certain conditions, at least for me.
I too kept the blue one and sold the inox...and I generally like stainless steel.
The cost of the first re-blue would break nearly even to the higher initial cost of ss, + or -.

Thanks for all the information.  I purchased the INOX today.  I weighed the pro and cons then my dealer gave me his rock bottom price.  Just could not turn it down.  I will put 250 rounds through it this weekend.

Thanks again

I masked of my front blade and painted it black and painted the front dot and rear dots bright what and it looks profesional as well as it has been though multiple range sessions and cleanigs with no problems. I also like stainless because it virtualy shows no holster wear. Also if you put on nice wood grips the satin stainless just looks so much better in my never humble opinion. However if you like them black then all the power to ya.

I love the gun, but those red sites do suck.

How do you like those grips.  I always thought it was a good idea but wasnt sure if the $$ was worth the novelty.  And how is it sighted in?

Another minor difference is the Inox has a metal trigger, while the standard 92FS has a plastic one.  Don't belive this makes a hill of beans difference however.

Also a metal guide rod, instead of the cheesey plastic one on the others.

I love them.  They are kind of expensive, but I thought they were worth it.  I really noticed the difference when practicing the Mozambique drill from 15ft.   In direct sunlight they are not very effective, except if you are say 20ft or closer.

They have two allen nut adjustments to sight them in.  Mine are dead on at about 15ft to 25yds.  Outside of those distances, the dot is a little off from the irons, but we are only talking an inch or two at the most.  I would buy them again for the 92fs.

To answer a few questions:

I paid $540.00 for it.

Mine has a plastic trigger and the plastic guide rod.  Don't know why, but it does.  Should I be worried about this?

Also looking for a good holster for wearing at range and general carry if someone can make a recommendation.

Don Hume, Open Top Double Nine.   I used mine as CCW, and it was great.  I would by the same holster again.  It doens't look tactical, but it works a heck of a lot better than any shoulder holster, kydex holster, that I played with.

I love my 92FS INOX because it has never failed and it looks like new every time I clean it.
