My mom recently decided to get her CCW and opted for a Beretta Nano as her EDC pistol. The problem I've been having lately is every time I shoot it, the slide locks back after every round. The even bigger problem is when she shoots it she doesn't have that problem. I've reasoned that it is the "slide lock" that is causing the problem but am baffled as to how I should fix it. Has anybody else had the same problem or heard about it?

I own a Nano, and haven't had the same issues. I would visit the Beretta forum and ask there....

awesome thanks, the only thing that was recommended by a friend was to put it back in it's original black grip and out of the tan one.

Ok, you changed grips

Open it up again and check if the tiny slide lock spring is still in there. It's real small and gets lost very easily.

If not that's probably your problem, and the difference most likely is in the different strength of grip between you two. The NANO and most subcompact pistols out there are real sensitive to how your grip handles the recoil. So with no spring the slide lock is just flopping around and most likely the one with the weakest grip will have the problem.

good luck
