I've got an older Beretta 92 that I picked up at a pawn shop a while back.  When the pistol is decocked and safe, if I pull the trigger, it stays in the rear position and doesn't reset.  Doesn't affect shooting, just seems like something is worn.

What do ya'll think?  Just replace the trigger spring?

When you say it doesn't affect shooting do you mean the trigger resets when you shoot it?  Or do you need to manually reset the trigger?

If you end up having to change the trigger return spring then now would be a good time to step up to the Wolff INS assembly and solve the problem forever.

Aaaaah, how can that not affect shooting?

You need to replace the trigger return spring.

Sound advice...

also check the Trigger Bar Spring as well, for any binding and proper position.

The safety deactivates the fire control unit (trigger). returning it to fie position resets the trigger.
