After some time I have final taken possession of my fathers 70S that he purchased new in 1982, chambered in .380. it is a nice little piece, in good shape; I was fortunate enough to find the box and paper work amongst his things, which to included the original receipt. Just for giggles ill tell you all that he paid 207.71 OTD for it and 14.53 for a 50rd box of ammo seems pretty steep for 1982!!!

So my question: Does anyone know if this pistol was designed for +p ammunition? The web and owners manual have been worthless in providing this information, so I have turned to you gents.

Thanks

There is no such thing as .380 ACP +P ammo.

I would only use ammo that is SAAMI, or CIP spec.

The Mod 70S is a medium frame all steel pistol made by a world class manufacture (Beretta) my guess that it would be to go with all commercially available .380 ACP ammo.

There is NO SAAMI or CIP guideline for .380 ACP +P.

That is marketing, not fact.

Cor-Bon is a member of SAAMI and as such is limited to producing ammo that meets their guidelines.
