I bought 92 hi-cap mags at the fun show today, LE marked ones, for $20 each. They appeared NIB but had a few scratches which I attributed to them not having a wrapper. I'll probably try them next weekend. I got them from our sponsor, J&T. Nice folks.

I bought a current military M-9 mag, checkmate, to study.
I wanted to see first hand what the problem is supposed to be and to just use it as often as possible.

I believe that's the brand I bought as well. I don't use my 92 for CCL, only IDPA/IPSC, etc. These were coated on the body with some sort of finish similiar to teflon. I will try to test them next weekend.

No, I was told checkmate or something similiar, I don't remember. They were advertised as M9/92FS mags.

Yeah, let us know how that works out for you.

Mine is parkerized and marked "restricted" and the name "CHECK-MATE IND INC" is stamped on the left rear side of the body.
Also the "ASSY 9346413" is found on the right side to authenticate it as not a U.S.A. or Mec-Gar made knock off.
An all metal flat base pad with "PAT PEND" is also noted with the usual 5,10,15 on it's backside.
A few years back, I bought several NIW for $10 each only to discover the were restricted and gave them to someone qualified to possess them.
