I've always wanted a 92 but it was low on the list.  For some reason in my mind I always thought they were in the $700-$800 range.  I was at the gun shop on Saturday and saw a used 92FS.  When I looked it I saw that it looked as if it was never fired.  This thing looked to be right out of the factory.  Price tag was $515 with two 15-round magazines.  I got him to knock off $15 and throw in a 17-round magazine.  Sure, it wasn't the greatest deal but I'm happy with it.  Now I just need to go shoot it.

I think you got a good deal on a great gun. Don't let those 1911/glock/sig/xd haters waste your time.

I don't know why I waited this long to purchase one.  I would love to have a matching pair of these.  Very nice collection you have there.

Wow, I really like those wood grips.

You did ok on price, IMO. Does it have the plastic trigger?

As for grips, I put these on mine due to the hot, southern summers that makes one sweat like a pig. Cost is around $65 or so, IIRC?

Yeah, it has the plastic trigger.

I love those grips and was going to get a pair for my 1911.  Maybe i'll have to splurge and get one for my 92.

I am on my third 92FS.  It's a Brigadier model actually and it is going to stay.

Always liked them but found a reason to trade them off when I thought I wanted something different.  Not any more.

Seems like a fair deal and the 92 is a nice weapon. Personally I got an m9 because I preferred the back sight and liked the fact it didn't have the legal warning on the gun like the 92's did. Found a friend a stainless 92 a few years ago for less new but hey you take what you can get. Mine currently has a cx4 carbine that goes with it. The m9 sits in its box as it came in a cardboard box and they both use the same mags.

Actually the price you paid was not an unrealistic price....You will find that the 92 is the most reliable pistol you have ever shot....It will be a 'keeper" for you.

I was able to go to the range for a few minutes yesterday and shot a few rounds through my 92.  It shot like a dream!  The short SA pull was a nice surprise.  I think I'm going to enjoy this gun a lot.  I look forward to using it in my first 3 gun match that I plan on attending in April.
