I was thinkin real hard about getting a Sig P226 and still may. However, yesterday I picked up a Sig P220 for the first time and really like the ergos (albeit a heavy gun). I dont own a .45 acp and was considering the Kimber Ultra Raptor in Stainless. I currently have M&Pc and M&P 9 and LOVE the ergos on those weapons. Tell me what I need to know when purchasing a Sig P226 or P220. I heard the new sig quality control makes the baby Jesus cry. Also your experience with the P220. |

Ergonomically, the 220 and 226 are very similar. The 226 is a little lighter I think. Both are great pistols and if we are talking older ones you aren't going to have an issue with QC.
I would say in this case, you are considering which caliber to buy because of the similarities in the pistols. |
Sig took care of it and then some.
