i just picked up a like new 229 dak and have a question.
it is all black except the takedown lever is stainless, i have never that i remember seeing one with a stainless lever except on a two toned or an all stainless gun. do they come like that or did someone put it on the gun? |
I've never seen that either. Could be they ran out of black take-down levers the day that pistol was assembled. Maybe contact Sig and ask them. In any event, the P229 DAK is a great pistol if you like DAK. I've had mine for several years and it's become my favorite. What grips are on it?

All 229 DAK come with the standard DA/SA grips. You can pick up some new sig grips that are for DAK from Top Gun Supply.
The take down lever was prob put on buy previous owner. You can pick up one of these also from Top Gun Supply to make your gun match up. I bought some Sig factory SAS 229 wood grips and love them for my DAK, but I have larger hands, |
