I have been searching for some information concerning the Sig Pro 2022 9mm trigger and have yet to find clarity.

I bought two Sig Pros to be used as glove box guns since they are such a great deal. I figured it’s a Sig and this is not a carry weapon so ergonomics are less important to me than most my other guns and I jumped on the deal.

My girlfriend and I took them out back to shoot a couple hundred rounds through them to start the breaking period and to get familiar with them.

I forced her to shoot the first round of each magazine double action. She had serious issues doing this. Many times it took her 3 or more attempts to completely pull the trigger. I was watching and she gets the hammer what appears to be completely back but doesn’t have the strength to get it to drop. She tries with different finger positions and each is very difficult for her. This is very troubling to me as I do not what guns around that she will not be comfortable operating and to be honest, I find the trigger a bit difficult myself for the final pull effort and I have shot hundreds of firearms without this issue in the past. I did notice that the trigger pull is very long and pretty much completely against the handle of the pistol at the point the hammer drops.  Single action seems to be no problem at all with these weapons.

I would like to know if I have a short trigger or standard trigger and real difference between them.
I would like to know if the short trigger has a shorter pull, heavier pull, different position, etc.
Also how can I tell which one I have, short or regular?
Will the trigger get lighter after it breaks in?

Thanks for any help that you can provide!
