[ARCHIVED THREAD] - P220 Hammer

I have an older P220 with the sharp/flat hammer. Will one of the newer style rounded hammers fit in its place. Any fitting/gunsmithing needed, or is it a straight replacement.

I changed one out myself. I had to change the sear, hammer, and went to the new style mainspring setup. Top Gun Supply is where I got all the parts.

Do you have a picture of the old style hammer? I don't think I have ever seen an example of what you are talking about.

The older P220's have a hammer that had a sharp point on the end, ala a stock 1911 hammer.
