Average Joe hobbyist reporting in

9mm

Like the difference between a Ford Taurus and a BMW 5 series, this Sig is, by far, the finest handgun I've ever owned.

Typically, it shoots much better than I do.

Put about 300 rounds through it today, double and single action.

(Pardon the LaserLyte laser.  It's off our house gun, and I just put it on for spits and giggles.)

The good:
Ergonomics (added a Pachmayr slip-on grip...more about that later) are excellent.  Fit my hand like a glove.  Wrist torque wasn't bad at all. Slide axis was fine for my purposes (home and self defense)

Accuracy:
See pics.  I'm looking forward to shooting this thing 50yds outdoors soon. Not a match gun, but capable of double action heart and head shots out to 15 yds with little practice.  I'm no marksman, but this 2022 will quickly build my competence and confidence over time.

The Bad:
Not sure if I'm gonna stay with a gun with mag release, slide release and de-cocker controls.  Might eventually look for another Sig with fewer knobs and levers for self defense shooting.  Time will tell on this.

VERY happy with my purchase so far!

Old phart w/bad eyesight and a good handgun!

My carry snubs and the new kid on the block:

Got a long way to go before I can group accurately, but the gun itself is a confidence builder!

Nice write up!  I've heard nothing but positive things about the 2022's...and they're priced really well to boot!  I need to quit lusting and just get one already.

I bought one and liked it so much that I bought another to have one for carry and one for a house gun.  Very accurate and well made.

Great range report.  I started into Sigs to save on ammo by switching from .45 to 9mm, and now I can't stop.

Thanks for the report. I just shot my new Sig SP2022 for the first time today.

Like you, I am thoroughly impressed and a new Sig fan.
