Besides the P226 Elite Dark is there a 226 that comes from the factory with a threaded barrel?  I have heard of people having a "226 Tactical", but have not seen it on Sig's site.  Is this simply a regular 226 with an aftermarket threaded barrel?

Also can the sights be used with a 1.375" OD can?

Also Also, I am deciding between a 226 or a HK 9SD (9mm USP).  I realize these forums are probably Sig biased, but can you name any advantages that would sell me on this pistol over the other?

Thanks!

Sig  makes a p226 tactical w/ a threaded barrel and a p226 combat w/ a threaded barrel.  I have both. They both have the same night sights and they are the normal profile. My p220 combat threaded barrel has the taller suppressor  sights on it. here are my 2 threaded p226s the one w/ the fde frame is the combat and the other is the tactical that I swapped the lower with my wife's p226 .22lr pistol. She didnt like the beavertail. I added the magwell grips to the combat and the Blackwater grips to the tactical. I dont know if this helps or not but let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

I forgot to mention that the combat has phosphate coated internals, a true m1913 rail and the barrel is chrome line

That helps a bunch!

Is there any reason this handgun is not featured on the Sig Sauer website?  Maybe I am looking in the wrong area?

Another option is adding a factory threaded barrel to a standard P226 as well.
