| I came across an advertisement for the Lasermax and it sparked my curiosity . Anyone have experience with them? I'm toying with the idea of buying one but I would like to hear some reviews from people here. Thanks! |
| If you want to use a laser, i would recommend using one of the crimson trace lasergrips. Lasermax makes nice lasers, but you have to move your trigger finger from the trigger to activate, while the crimson trace you use other fingers to activate, there have also been problems where the GSR from the barrel coats and obscures the lasermax unit |

Hello! I have the LazerMax GR lazer in my 226. I've had it about 14yrs with no problems. I realy like how the whole thing is set up. My thoughts may differ from aprevious post in the use of where your trigger finger should be. I automaticly lay my rt finger on the frame at the point where the switch is. This for me is what is natural and safe. I was always taught to not have my finger on the trigger till I'm ready to pull it. The whole LazerMax set up is great. You can install and remove it in just seconds and theres not adjusting or sighting in to be done. I have 2-226's and can use it in either one.
I plan on getting the guide rod spring for the 220 as well so that I can use it in my 220. I highly recommend the LazerMax. |

Hopefully everyone was taught that - Keeping your finger off the trigger until ready to fire is one of the basic rules to handling any firearm!
the thing is, when you need to activate the laser, it is an extra thing that your trigger finger has to do before, if you are in a rush, or decide that you need the laser immediately, that's where it can hamper your timing. You can activate from either the left or right side, for me it feels weird keeper my left index finger up against the rail and i would rather keep my rt index finger against the frame. (iMHO) This is why i went with the crimson trace laser grips |
