Anybody get one of these over run pistols yet? I just ordered one from Top Gun to replace my old school (8mm trigger) 220. I couldn't pass it up for the price, way less than the Elite model, but all of the same non cosmetic features. I'll post pics when I get it. If anyone can give a range report that would be great. Thanks! |

Overall I am very pleased with it. I have only put 300rds or so through it, it has yet to let me down. No FTE or FTF's with WWB (all I've used thus far). I haven't run it hard yet. As far as accuracy goes, it is by far more accurate than I am. I have almost no trouble keeping it in the 7 ring at 25yds. Again I think more of this is user related I find the recoil to be nice and manageable. I let my girlfriend shoot it a few times (she has very small hands) and she shot surprisingly well. She had a very difficult time when I had my .40 HK. Having the beavertail was a little extra assurance that she'd keep her hand away from the hammer and out of the way of the slide. The SRT trigger is nice and smooth with a short pull. It'll take some rounds to smooth it out some. I also did a fair amount of dryfiring as well. The SigLites are nice and bright. I find them very easy to pick up as they have the white circle around the tritium. The grip feels natural to me and getting to the controls isn't a big issue. However, it comes with the Slim grips and I don't feel I have a real great grip on it so I am considering picking up a set of Hogues. I have large hands and I can feel my hands sliding around some. I just need a little more real estate to grab. Overall I love it and don't plan on ever getting rid of it. On a side note I have heard everyone say to run the new Sig's wet. I currently use Militec 1 grease on the slide as well as other areas of friction but will probably switch over to slide glide at some point. |
I just saw this the other day on sigs website. I MUST OWN ONE! |
Well, I finally fired it! [Peter Griffin]Friggen sweet![Peter Griffin] The trigger on this thing is amazing. I don't know if it is because I am used to the narrow (8mm) trigger on my other 220, but wow a huge difference! No overtravel either. I put 500 rounds through it with two failure to ejects at the end, caused by me. I was getting tired and limp wristed the shit out of it and it was really dirty. Once I get another 500 through it, it will replace my current 220 for work. Gun porn follows: (it's a little oily, just cleaned it).![]() |

Dirknar, That's a nice looking Elite you have there. I have heard alot about the Nills and would like a set but cash is really tight at the moment. Hopefully after I graduate that will change. ![]() I am waiting somewhat though because Hogue is going to attempt some G10 grips for the Sigs. Just not sure what model(s). nkpd44, Glad you like the BR. |

I just ordered one, and currently debating whether to cancel it or not. I know the internal extractors are the achilles heel on the P220 carry models. Anyone have issues with theirs yet? I have close to 800 rounds through one of mine, and no issues with th internal extractor. Yesterday I shot 100 rounds of Fed 230 gr HST +p and while snappy through the lite Carry SAO, not a hiccup. The extractor is no issue as far as I'm concerned. |

Just thought I'd add that I hit 1000 rounds today with my 220 Carry SAO with beavertail and internal extractor. 800 rounds of mixed Winchester WB and Spear Lawman. The other 200 was all Federal 230gr HST +p.
Not one malfuction, including 3 different 10 round mags as well as my carry 8 rounders. Thumbs up on this pistol!! |

Just visited with mine today. I get to pick it up next friday. God damn Maryland 7 day wait.
One thing I've noticed. Mine's a SAO with an ambi thumb safety like a 1911. I don't have a decocker like the 2 pictured here. Are the decocker models da/sa, or are they SAO?? |

I know they are expensive but the NiLLs grips are SWEET> I thought about switching out the grips but they fit my hands so nice I cant seem to let them go. I want to try the slide glide also, I just worry about how it says to use it spareingly for carry weapons, because I use almost all my pistols for carry. http://mactec-militaryarms.com/nill-grips-sigarms.html heres my Elite that I bought off the EE in here it was LNIB with the owner only firing 50rnds through it.. I bought it for 765 shipped with the nill grips.. what a deal huh? its even been through sigs custom shop for a action/trigger job. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c25/Dirknar77/100_1743.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c25/Dirknar77/100_1744.jpg GET THE KARL NILLS GRIPS!!!!!!!!!!!! I have them on my P226 Elite and it's like putting on a glove. |
