Hello,

I have a P6 dated 8/82.  This is my second P6.

I fired it for the first time today.  Accuracy seems decent but I didn't try it from a rest.

I used WWB ball ammo.

It fed and extracted flawlessly.  It also ejected every round but on several occasions it ejected right into my face.  My other P6 never did this.

This pistol looked new inside when I bought it.  ALL of the finish was intact on the slide and frame rails, etc even though it had typical holster wear.

Is it possible that this pistol has never been broken in and just needs more range time?  I have bought new Sigs before and except for a Mosquito they have never had a "breaking-in" period.

Thanks!

I had a colt commander do this, and a gun smith tweeked the extractor and ejector, which helped, but the pistol still threw the shells more rearward than I liked. I installed a higher power recoil spring, and got better results.Hope this helps
