Hey guys,
I have a quick question.  The only weapon my agency allows me to carry off duty is the Sig P232, .380 cal.  I have shot one before but only a couple of shots.  Does anybody have any experience with them, good bad or indifferent?  I know, .380 cal is not my first choice but it is all we get.  Opinions please, on the gun and cal.

Thanks

I owned a P232.  Very accurate and 100% reliable.  However, I traded it in for a P239 9mm.  I know shot placement is key.  Just feel a bit more confident with a minimum caliber of 9mm.

Unless you have really big hands, you will love it.

My wife and I each have one.  Love 'em.  The 232 has excellent handling characteristics and are very reliable.

I prefer the black ones with the alloy frame, because it is EXTREMELY lightweight for a non-polymer pistol.  Very packable/concealable.

Most "couch-commandos" simply write off the .380 and go with something larger, but people who actually carry year-around realize that size and weight matter.

P232 is a perfect everyday carry weapon. Fits anywhere and is extremely reliable.

+1 to size and concealibility. Ive fired one basicially every time I go to the range, (one of my buds has one). They are great to shoot.  Definitely listen to your agency.

Excellent light weight gun.  I quit carrying my PPK/S when I got my P232.
Mine has been very reliable.
