Anyone have any hands on experience with this weapon. I'm thinking about getting one in .40 with a stainless slide.

I have the older version, and I love it.

I have a 2022 in 40 and it is a sweet gun! Mine has been 100% trouble free from day one! Fantastic and a true sleeper in the pistol world!

I have a 2022 in .40 and the 2009 9mm.

Both excellent weapons.

I don't have the .40 version but I do have the 9mm version and I think it is great.  100% reliable and reasonable accuracy.

I have an SP2022 in 9mm.  I love it!

The trigger is one of the best out-of-the-box triggers that I've felt.  The ergonomics fit my hand unlike any other pistol that I own.  Recoil isn't very bad, it's pretty much the same as with my alloy framed SIGs.  As for the size, the SIG Pro series is smaller than a P226, but larger than a P229.  I don't know how well it would work as a CCW.

The only thing that I don't like is how the pistol field strips.  It reminds me of disassembling an HK USP or a Smith & Wesson auto.  It's not bad by any means.  I just enjoy the ease of the takedown lever on the SIG Classic Series.

I use a 2009 as my CCW, it is comfortable.  I agree with the trigger statement, it is smoooooth.  You are going to like it.
